A few weeks back Ed Droste tweeted about his new favorite band, Bear in Heaven, and of course we all checked it out and fell in love with their track, Lovesick Teenagers.
They just released their new record today, Beast Forth Rest Mouth (listen here), and are playing DC9 tonight, opening for Tigercity. After one listen, the album sounds magical and it should be a great show tonight.
Now that the summer festival season is drawing to a close, I thought I would take a look back at Lollapalooza in Chicago, which for my crew was re-branded as Dougapalooza for my brother Doug’s bachelor party. It was an amazing three days of music, with highlights in my opinion being Tool, Deadmau5, A-Trak, Diplo, Andrew Bird, Fleet Foxes, Snoop, and MSTRKRFT. The 2009 Austin City Limits lineup was announced this morning. Pearl Jam, Beasties, DMB, Thievery, Sonic Youth, KOL, Ben Harper and Jack White’s new side project Dead Weather among headliners.
My brother is getting married this fall to his lovely fiance Krista and for his bachelor party weekend his friends and I are taking him to Lollapalooza in Chicago – excuse me, Dougapalooza – and the lineup was announced this morning. Check it out.
