Radiohead Dates Announced – Coming to Nissan Pavilion May 11

radiohead-live.jpg

Recently Radiohead announced the cities on their upcoming spring tour and DC was included on the list, fueling speculation on what venue it they would play. The most talked about I heard were Merriweather Post and DAR, turns out we were way off. Way off as in Bristow, Virginia. That’s right, Nissan Pavilion is the venue and May 11 is the date. Pre-sale for the tix go on sale this Thursday, February 14 here and general on-sale is February 16. This doesn’t bode well for us in DC or Arlington/Alexandria as Nissan Pavilion is way out there and traffic can be hellacious. But hell with it, this is Radiohead we’re talking about here. Here are the May dates of the tour:

Radiohead – 2008 Tour Dates
May 5 – Cruzan Amphitheatre – West Palm Beach, Florida
May 6 – Ford Amphitheatre – Tampa, Florida
May 8 – Lakewood Amphitheatre – Atlanta, Georgia
May 9 – Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre – Charlotte, North Carolina
May 11 – Nissan Pavilion at Stone Ridge – Bristow, Virginia
May 14 – Verizon Wireless Amphitheater – St Louis, Missouri
May 17 – Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – Houston, Texas
May 18 – Superpages.com Center – Dallas, Texas

Pre-sale for the above dates will begin February 14 via W.A.S.T.E. with general on-sales following on February 16. The second half of the North American tour will follow the band’s summer tour of the UK and Europe. There are many more stops on the tour but these are the only dates and venues announced at this point.

Thanks to Brooklynvegan where I first saw the announcement.
